Curly kale is a leavy vegetable which belongs as cauliflower and broccoli to the Brassicacae (cabbage) family. Kale was until the end of the middle ages a very common vegetable but it has now somewhat lost its popularity. Curly kale is great runners food and rich in Vit C and Vit K as well as a good cource of calcium.
TIP: Curly kale freezes well and is great in green smoothies.
